Daily activity:
Thursday 12th.: water temp 59.5 NNE 6-11mph in the a.m. / 60.6 W 2-6mph in the p.m. The water was clean. There were Squid early morning and late afternoon into the evening. A couple of small Flounder were caught. There were lots of Sheepshead on the pilings, but no one was able to deck one. However, late yesterday afternoon, Jake was able to put a nice one on the deck.
Friday: water temp 59.5 NNE 6-10mph in the a.m. / 60.6 NNW 4-7mph in the p.m. The water was clean. There were a couple of small Flounder and a small Whiting caught. Jose caught a Spanish Mackerel. Sheepshead were everywhere but had lock jaw. I hooked one and lost it to a broken leader. Squid were caught both early morning and late afternoon.
Saturday: water temp 59.7 E 5-10mph in the a.m. / 60.8 SE 8-10mph in the p.m. The water was clean. There were no fish caught but Squid came in late day. George M. got these.
Sunday: water temp 60.8 SE 22-28mph in the a.m. / by 12:45 the wind shifted W 17-22MPH then WSW 17-21mph at 61.3 degrees in the p.m. The water was very rough but mostly clear. Strong winds and thunderstorms persisted in the early morning. The wind continued throughout the day. The Bonita finally came in and were hungry. Dom got eight during the morning weather. Terry H. got in on the action too. The water became dirty by late afternoon.

Monday: water temp 60.1 WNW 6-9mph in the a.m. / 60.3 W 6-9 in the p.m. The water was still dirty. Gafftopsail Catfish were the catches for the day. The surf began calming down by early afternoon
Tuesday: water temp 59.5 ESE 9-12mph in the a.m. / 61.0 S 3-5mph in the p.m. The water was almost clean. No fish were caught. A were a few Squid late afternoon. Brenda got 5.
Wednesday 11th.: water temp 60.1 SE 11-13mph in the a.m. / 62.6 SSE 12-15mph in the p.m. The water was clean at the end but silty from the sand bar to the beach. There was a good squid bite in the early morning, and they were scattered the remainder of the day. Only a few Bluefish were caught in the morning. The afternoon was dead.
Red Tide status: In Northwest Florida over the past week, K. brevis was observed at background concentrations in Okaloosa County, background to low concentrations in Bay County, and background to very low concentrations in Gulf County.
